Join PMA for Sub-Basement Docs on Thursday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kiplinger Theatre, Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts.
This showcase of student films from Advanced Documentary Production (ANTHR/PMA 4401/7401) will feature Women’s Court by Can Cao, The Milking Parlor by Gus Dupin, and Radical Ritual by Jacob Berman. The student directors will participate in a Q&A session following the event. Free and open to the public. First come, first served.
Women’s Court (10:59), directed by Can Cao: Running, dribbling, and sweating, a women’s basketball team shapes the court through the rhythm of everyday practice.
The Milking Parlor, directed by Gus Dupin: A portrait of the machines, manpower, and mammals involved in the production of milk.
Radical Ritual (8:59), directed by Jacob Berman: A mixed-media oral history of the 1970 and 2023 Freedom Seder.
