PMA Associate Professor Kristen Warner was quoted in an article from Primetimer called “Grey’s Anatomy Helped Redefine the Feminine Ideal for Millennials.” Grey’s Anatomy premiered on March 27, 2005 on ABC, and recently concluded its 20th season.
“A lot of procedurals, particularly where there are women leads, the assumption is, ‘well, why would they worry about romance? says Warner. “They don't have time for that. They have to focus on being lawyers or police officers or whatever.” [But Grey’s Anatomy always took a different approach, portraying] “the totality of what women's experiences can be.”
