Dr. Sara Warner, Director of LGBT Studies and Associate Professor of PMA, was recently named a Trustee of Jane Chamber's literary estate. Chambers (1937-1983) was a pioneering lesbian feminist playwright, poet, novelist, and cultural critic whose best known-work, "Last Summer at Bluefish Cove," continues to be produced across the globe. There is an annual playwriting award named in her honor, administered by the Women and Theatre Program, of which Dr. Warner is a former President. Dr. Warner succeeds Chambers' widow, Elizabeth Allen, as executor.
